arriving with a kayak and some paddles. There were dreams of starting a kayak trip for people even before arriving. Whilst watching the movement of the some of the largest tides in the world they asked some nudists on Cable Beach to put their clothes on and shoot a brochure for a kayak trip!

It turned out these tides were incredible to paddle on the rise and fall of the tide phenomenal and the magic this environment created for paddling in the dry season unbelievable. The travellers loved it, locals too and after plenty of rise and falls of the tides – yep, still paddling!

Storm fronts, lightning and thunder, meteor showers, Lunar Eclipses, time to take photos of this dramatic landscape and capture these moments to make them last forever.

In 2018 for the first time these images are being made available in prints and Digital Downloads and you can now join Richard on a photographic tour or workshop.
